John and Margaret Hudacik Love to Travel - Living La Vida Loca at FoxChase
John and Margaret Hudacik had their eyes on a bright future when they moved into The Islands of FoxChase: eventual retirement in the sunny environs of Florida. The couple sold their Glen Burnie town home and elected for the first time to move into an apartment.
The Hudaciks, who have been married for 35 years and were high school sweethearts, moved to Anne Arundel County years ago. They are four to five years away from retirement and wanted to remain in the area until then, close to Margaret's job. The pair frequently travel Route 100 and saw The Islands of FoxChase under construction.
"We were curious and decided to stop in. Once we saw it, we didn't want to move any place else," according to John, who said "we were really impressed with this place." The Hudaciks liked the fact it was all brand new and were pleased with the spacious design.
John, who operates JMH Associates — a communications packaging business — from a converted FoxChase bedroom, says their first–floor apartment is ideal for the couple's small dogs. "All in all, for the two of us, it's a fair amount of space," according to John, who says the maintenance–free aspect of apartment living allows the couple to travel with peace of mind and the knowledge they are free to pick up and move to the golf courses of Florida when the time is right.
